FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions.

Everything you need to know before specifying cantilever racking.

What loads is cantilever racking designed for?
Long or awkward stock that won't sit on a standard pallet: timber, steel sections, tubing, sheet material, plasterboard, plywood, pipes. Arm capacities typically run from 250 kg up to 2,000 kg per arm, sized to your stock weights.
What's the maximum arm length?
Standard arm lengths run from 600 mm to 2,400 mm. Longer arms are available for specialist applications. We size arm length around your longest stock item plus a safe handling margin.
Can cantilever racking be used outdoors?
Yes. Galvanised cantilever for outdoor yards, painted finishes for indoor warehouses. Galvanised protects the steel against rust and extends life significantly in weather-exposed environments.
Single-sided or double-sided?
Single-sided sits against a wall for space-efficient storage. Double-sided sits in the aisle and stores stock on both sides, roughly doubling capacity per footprint. We spec whichever gives you the most usable capacity for your building.
What's the lead time?
Standard configurations: 2 to 4 weeks from order to installation. Bespoke arm lengths or heavier duty specs: another 1 to 2 weeks. We'll confirm the exact date on the quote.
Do you deliver and install UK-wide?
Yes, nationwide from our Wellingborough depot. Outdoor installs are scheduled around weather windows to keep the concrete pad and anchor fixings clean.
